Emo: TCM like winding up infused manager and CoD4 female player Vixxy. Had a run-in with her yet?

Luke: I've not spoke to her yet. Although i have seen run ins with her on your twitter Emo lol

Ash: Haha, yeh i have. She seems focused on helping team-infused move forward, and that's something we also aim towards, so i think she is a great part of the management team in that sense.

Emo: So most of the top teams have confirmed they will be attending DutchGameCon. Whats the plans for Infused?

Luke: Looks like we'll be attending. Hopefully the event is a sucess and gets 20+ teams.

Ash: Yeh were definately looking to attend. I think its vital we get a LAN event in before ECL, and DGC is looking like it will be a great event with good prize money too.

Emo: Whats your expectations of ECL?

Luke: It looks like it will be the biggest console EU LAN yet, and hopefully they will be able to produce consistent LAN's for the community. It also appears that alot of preperation has gone into it, and Tugsy has done a great job with H3F, so i can see this LAN living upto the expectations. We will be going there looking to win the event, as will several teams, but hopefully there will be a few LAN's.

Ash: Now that i've placed first place at LAN, that's what i'm aiming for. It will be one of the toughest LAN events for sure, the event has great prize money, aswell as it being in a great venue. From the sounds of things, it's shaping up to be like nothing european console has seen before, and i have high expectation in terms of the attendence, and the event itself. Should be an amazing event.

Emo: Who is your biggest competition for number 1 spot?

Luke: I think it will be the usual suspects. TCM will probably be the toughest opponent, especially with the LAN experience they've already had on MW2. I can also see Dignitas being up there depending on who their new 4th is.

Ash: Well i think it's obvious to say TCM. They have done a great job in representing the EU community placing first in GameStop, and I think it's a shame MLG hasn't managed to get MW2 on the circuit as I think there are a few EU teams who could do some damage over there. I think it's hard to state any consistant competition except for TCM, as many teams have not proven themselves consistantly so far.

Emo: Whats your opinion of the MW2 scene overall, does it have what it takes to last as a competitive title?

Luke: Well it's been a disapointing sequel from CoD4 in my opinion. Saying that, it has a huge fan base behind it, aswell as many teams competively, i think there is no doubt it will have a long stay at LAN events, but i think its popularity will come down to the release of Halo: Reach, which could see some players take the chance to move into the Halo scene. LAN classes need to be sorted for it too appear at more LAN events.

Ash: I think MW2 not being as good as expected may eventually catch up with the community. CoD4 was able to last 2 years because it was in another league compared to other realistic FPS games on the console. The majority of the MW2 are poor, meaning there are a limited number available for competitive play, which could see some players move into appealling titles such as Halo Reach. The community will probably decrease in size over time, but there will probably always be enough of a community there to support LAN events.

Emo: What do you think of the current ruleset that is used in the EU community?

Luke: Well there isn't many options for MW2. I think demolition and SnD both add too much of a random element to the game, but the lack of competitive gametypes doesn't help in that area. As for the game settings, once again the only parts that can be restricted to any degree to improve gameplay are the perks or restriction of special grenades, which isn't so simple now flashes have a hit marker too.

Ash: I think overall they are good, but have one or two flaws. Firstly, i think Karachi needs removing for both demolition and CTF. However, i think one danger is that some maps may be 'forced' into the ruleset just to add a wider range of maps, even if they aren't fully suited to competitive player. There's also the arguement about stuns vs flashes. I personally aren't too fussed which direction this heads in, and although stuns are annoying, i've began to accept them as part of the game.

Emo: So, who's the better player then out of the both of you?

Luke: I'd say Ash has a greater impact in games than I do, and is much more capable of putting in a match winning display. I see myself as the player who does the less exciting jobs needed to win matches.

Ash: We both play completely different roles so its hard to say really. We do get asked it alot though haha.
